Georgia Cheerletics FAQ

Q: What makes GAC different from other cheer programs?

A: We’re not a typical rec league or All-Star program — we’re a hybrid, and we’re proud of it. Every coach at GA Cheerletics is paid, vetted, background-checked, certified, and drug-screened — zero tolerance for “volunteer immunity” policies common in rec cheer. We prioritize safety, decorum, and properly trained coaches held to high standards where children are concerned, upholding our morality clause.

Your daughter receives consistent, high-quality instruction every class, every practice. We focus on real skill progression, safe stunt/tumbling training, and building unbreakable confidence and sisterhood in a bully-free environment. Classes are year-round (with company-wide summer and winter breaks), practices are consistent, on-campus or at a dedicated studio, and we go extra — because girls deserve a program that proves they’re more than enough.

We go beyond weekly classes with real-world exposure:

  • Guest appearances at local high school games, homecoming events, pep rallies, community showcases, and non-competitive competitions — giving our girls real stage time and crowd experience.
  • Summer Camps (June & July) feature pro athlete appearances, including meet-and-greets with NFL and NBA cheerleaders.
  • Elite division athletes may earn performance opportunities alongside professional cheerleaders at pro team events — a rare, resume-building experience that sets them apart for college scholarships and pro auditions.

These are optional premium opportunities — performance spots are earned through consistent attendance, skill mastery, and positive attitude. This is how we help every girl prove she’s more than enough — on bigger stages, in front of bigger crowds.

Q: Who can join GA Cheerletics?

A: Any girl in grades PreK–12 grade (ages 5–17/18) who loves cheer and wants to build skills, confidence, and friendships. No prior experience is required for Mini Prep, Prep or Academy divisions — we evaluate attitude, sass, coachability, skills, and motivation at tryouts to place her where she’ll thrive most.

Q: How do tryouts work?

A: Tryouts are open to all levels of interest! Fun and non-competitive. We assess attitude, sass, technical skills, ability to follow instructions, and genuine motivation. Every girl who attends is placed in the best division for her growth (Mini Prep, Academy, Academy 2, Legacy, Elite 1/2). Placement is final and based on coach evaluation — no traditional “cuts.”

Q: Where do girls transferring from another all-star gym start?

A: Transfers are evaluated at tryouts or during their first few sessions. Very young Level 4s (e.g., 7–9 years old) typically start in Elite Prep to ensure age-appropriate training, safety, and team balance. Older Level 4s usually move directly into Elite All-Star.

Because most competitions require teams to compete at the level of the oldest member, we place athletes thoughtfully to keep everyone safe and legal while helping them progress quickly.

Contact us for a private evaluation — we’ll find the perfect fit for her skills and age!

Q: Who do we cheer for since GA Cheerletics is independent?

A: As an independent cheer program, GA Cheerletics doesn’t cheer exclusively for one school or team — we get to shine in a wide variety of high-profile, exciting settings that give our athletes real performance experience and exposure. Guest appearances at local high school games, homecoming events, pep rallies, community showcases, and non-competitive competitions — giving our girls live stage time and crowd experience. Our Summer Camps feature pro athlete appearances, including meet-and-greets with NFL and NBA cheerleaders. Top performers in Elite divisions may earn special opportunities to perform alongside professional cheerleaders with pro teams — a rare chance to shine on big stages and build connections for future scholarships or pro paths. Bottom line: We cheer for the love of the sport, the thrill of the performance, and the chance to represent excellence wherever we’re invited. Your daughter gets to be part of something bigger — multiple stages, multiple crowds, one incredible team.

Q: What is your competition season?

A: Our main competition season runs late fall through February (peak months for Georgia youth and all-star comps). During this window, Legacy and Elite athletes can opt into our  Elite Prep add-on — unlocking extra practices, advanced choreography, mock comps, and performance opportunities. Regular monthly pricing covers weekly classes year-round; the add-on is optional and only charged during comp season.

Q: What happens if my child is injured or can’t participate?

A: Safety comes first. If injured/ill, submit a doctor’s note within 48 hours — we’ll adjust participation. Even if sitting out, we strongly encourage attending practices to observe routines, support teammates, and act as a helper. This keeps her connected and learning.

Q: What is your Happiness Guarantee?

A: If your daughter is not thrilled after the first two sessions, receive a full refund of the program fee (less $50 registration+prorated per class fee) — no questions asked. After that, prorated refunds are available only for documented medical injury/illness, relocation, or academic issues (see full policy in the Participation Agreement).

Q: Can boys join GA Cheerletics? What age and division??

A: Yes — boys are welcome starting in Academy 2 (ages 9–12) and up. Younger boys (under 9) don’t have consistent base/back-spot roles yet, so we keep Mini Prep, Prep, and Academy female-focused for safety and group dynamics. Boys typically excel as tumblers, bases and back spots due to earlier upper-body strength development — and many colleges offer cheer scholarships for male athletes. We place boys thoughtfully to ensure safe stunt pairing and team balance.

Q: When can I register for Marietta or Peachtree City Locations?

A: We’re thrilled with the momentum from our Buford/Suwanee buzz our opening is creating and are actively expanding!

We successfully ran winter camps and yoga days in Marietta and Peachtree City, and we’ll continue offering seasonal camps and special events in those locations this summer and beyond.

Full weekly classes (ongoing programs) at those locations will launch as soon as we have our full director and coaching teams in place — we’re prioritizing quality and safety by hiring the right leaders first. We expect weekly classes to begin in Fall 2026 (after our summer camps wrap).

In the meantime, join us for our upcoming camps/events in Marietta and Peachtree City — spots fill fast! For the latest schedule and registration, check our Events page or contact us directly.

We’re so excited to bring GA Cheerletics to your community soon — stay tuned!
